The football games season runs from April – September. The Season will be a mixture of games in Mackay on a Saturday and Friendly games against Proserpine Taipans at Proserpine grounds. Throughout the season there will be various Carnivals and Friendly Matches in Bowen.
There is traveled involved most weeks.

We are excited to announce that, in partnership with Proserpine Taipans, Airlie Beach Football Club hopes to be hosting some home games as part of the Mackay Competition round games.
Games
Games are scheduled for Saturday mornings where possible in Mackay with some games taking place in Proserpine and Bowen on the alternate weeks. Once registered your coach will liaise with you regularly to advise of games times each week.
All registered players are encouraged to attend all games and in the event you are unable to attend, please try to notify your coach in advance. If you are unable to commit to games each week, please speak with a member of the committee at the start of the season before registering your child.
Uniforms
Hats and Shirts are included with New Players Registrations. Re-turning ABFC will not get Club Shirts and Hats. Black Spray Jackets can be ordered. Shin Pads, Football Boots are required for all age groups along with red football socks and black shorts. These can be purchased from Intersport.

Please make sure all players are dressed in full uniform black shorts, red socks, shin pads and foootball boots. ABFC will supply team shirts. Make sure you are there at least 20 mins before scheduled game times or earlier if your coaches have requested.
$5 entry fee for Adults (cash only)
The park has a full canteen service or you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. No alcohol permitted.
Proserpine Friday Friendly’s
Taipans Home Ground
333 Cyrstalbrook Road, Proserpine
All Friday Friendly will be held at Proserpine grounds.
Please make sure all players are dressed in full uniform black shorts, red socks, shin pads and foootball boots. ABFC will supply team shirts. Make sure you are there no later than 4:45pm for a 5:00pm kick off.
Canteen will be run by the Taipans and ABFC on alternating weeks. Cash and Card accepted. No alcohol permitted.
Carnivals
We have the opportunity as a club to participate in regional carnivals, usually hosted by clubs in Mackay. The carnivals take place on a Sundays and teams travel down and play several games throughout the day. It provides the children with a different game format, short games against different teams from around the region.
All age groups are encouraged to participate in the carnivals, as they are a great team building experience. Carnivals dates will be released in advance and your coaches will submit team nominations. For more information, speak with your team coach once the season starts.
